Monk and Jackie Noell Join our Ormond Beachside Office

Gilbert "Monk" Noell, Jr. is a native of the Daytona Beach area. He graduated from Seabreeze High School, attended Stetson University in Deland and then completed his education at the University of Georgia, Atlanta Division, now known as Georgia State College. Monk's background includes managing Yohannan's Restaurant, one of the largest restaurants in the south at the time. This position led to being placed in charge of all six restaurants that the owner held in various locations. He moved back to Daytona Beach in 1975 to work for the Root Company, the largest Coca Cola bottling company in the United States with headquarters here in our area. Monk was placed in charge of their restaurants the Pump House East and then he became the Food & Beverage Director of the Daytona Hilton in Daytona Beach Shores. In 1990, Monk purchased the landmark restaurant, Billy's Tap Room & Grill in Ormond Beach which he and his wife Jackie successfully operated until 2006. In 1996 he married Jackie McCoy, a successful REALTOR from the Orlando area and a former high school classmate. Mr. Noell is a member of all local, State and National Associations of REALTORS, the Museum of Arts and Sciences, a former member of the National Restaurant Association and was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Ormond Beach Historical Society.
